Reading 'The Amplifier' alongside the Infrastructure Series — early impressions

Just finished the first half of The Amplifier (the riskefficacy.org companion volume) and wanted to flag for anyone else picking it up: it's much more operational than the Infrastructure Series. The Infrastructure Series tells you *what* to measure and *why*; The Amplifier tells you *how* to actually run the measurement in a working organization. Useful pairing. The chapter on calibration drift over a manager's tenure is the single most uncomfortable thing I've read all year, and I worked in federal hiring for 30 years.

Echoing the operational point. The Infrastructure Series gets called "too theoretical" by ops-minded readers — The Amplifier is the answer to that. I'm going to start handing them out together.

Helen, which chapter on calibration drift specifically? I haven't gotten to it yet and I'd like to read it next.

Same question — the calibration drift framing has been the single thing that changed how I think about staying in a role longer than three years. Looking forward to that chapter.
