Adapting these frameworks for non-Western talent markets

Working on rolling Risk Efficacy-style assessments out across three APAC markets and the cultural translation is harder than the language translation. "Calibrated confidence" reads very differently in a Confucian-influenced workplace than it does in a US one. Has anyone here done substantive cross-cultural adaptation work, or am I largely on my own?

The cross-cultural validation literature is thin and mostly bad. Most of it is back-translation studies that never address the construct-equivalence question you're raising. I'd be very interested in what you find — keep posting.

Confucian-context pressure-performance research mostly comes out of HK/Singapore IO labs. Happy to share a reading list if useful. The short version: the Resilience pillar translates well, Calibration translates poorly without significant reframing.
